Rush's "Moving" Pictures Album for Rock Band DLC This Week [UPDATED]

Rock band Rush releases their 1981 album, Moving Pictures, this week for Rock Band. Here's the tracklist:
  1. Tom Sawyer (Original Version)
  2. Red Barchetta
  3. YYZ
  4. Limelight (Original Version)
  5. The Camera Eye
  6. Witch Hunt
  7. Vital Signs
Harmonix developer HMXJohnlok has stated on the official forums that the entire album is comprised of all master recordings. It's available now at the Xbox Live! Marketplace for 880 Microsoft Points and 160 Microsoft points for each track. It will be available at the PLAYSTATION Store on Thursday for $10.99 and $2 for each track.

UPDATE: The Rush DLC has been delayed. Here's what developer HMXSean posted at the official forums...

"Hey everybody,

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, we won't be able to release Rush's "Moving Pictures" this week. We'll be working on it as hard as we can, but it looks like it could be a couple of weeks to fix. In the meantime we will be moving around our schedule so we still have DLC coming out each week (including this week, info to follow in another announcement)."
Instead, Harmonix released the Locksley Pack #1 for $2.99 at the PLAYSTATION Store and 240 Microsoft points at the Xbox Live! Marketplace. The pack is comprised of 3 tracks:
  • “She Does”
  • “Don’t Make Me Wait”
  • “All Over Again”
Each track can get be purchased individually for $0.99 at the PLAYSTATION Store or 80 Microsoft points at the Xbox Live! Marketplace.

Xbox 360 Fall Update Coming in November

At a Xbox Live Experience briefing, RPG-TV was told that the 360's Fall dashboard update would arrive in November. The new dashboard update will rid the familiar "blades" interface and introduce a cleaner and more navigable interface similar to iTunes' Cover Flow and even feature Netflix integration. Possibly Real: $199 Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle w/ Motion Controller

Xbox 360 Fanboy received a tip "from a source close to Microsoft's marketing department" about a new SKU - $199 Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle! The source states this bundle will be positioned to combat the Nintendo Wii by focusing on family entertainment. This new arcade bundle will include the standard arcade "goodies", (such as the 512MB memory card) the new Fall update, Microsoft's own motion controller, and motion-controller games from Rare! Furthermore, the source states the new motion controller will work with all Xbox 360 models and will also be sold separately (with more motion-controller games bundled along with it). According to Xbox 360 Fanboy's source the $199 Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle w/ Motion Controller is set for a Holiday 2008 release. We'll keep you posted...

Gears of War 2 DLC On The Horizon

Creator Cliff Blesinski has announced that the first line of downloadble content for Gears of War 2 will arrive shortly after the game's release. He spoke with Xbox 360 Fanboy and revealed that Epic Game's is working on the DLC and that it will be "multiplayer map focused". CliffyB has also stated that a new pop-up feature will indicate the player's recent actions could lead him/her to a possible acheivement! Check the site for more details!

The Godfather II GT-Exclusive Debut Trailer

I played the first Godfather game, back on the PlayStation 2. Despite the repetitive gameplay, everything had an authentic Godfather feel to it - from the locales to the voiceovers. Let's hope EA improves on the gameplay this second time around. 


First Screens for Batman: Arkham Asylum

Developer Rocksteady Games recently released the first batch of photos from Eidos' new game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. For some reason, the shots were pulled almost immediately. Luckily, a someone from the NeoGAF forums managed to nab the shots and repost it. So far, the game looks pretty good...

Rock Band 2 BUNDLE Pushed Back


The Rock Band 2 Special Edition Bundle was originally announced as an Xbox 360 timed exclusive dated for September 14th. 

According to Kotaku, it's been revealed that only the Xbox 360 standalone game will be released on that day. The Special Edition bundle (which includes all the instruments and the game) will launch in mid-October, alongside the release of the PlayStation 3, Wii, and PlayStation 2 version. The bundle's MSRP is roughly $189.

Face-Melters for This Week's Rock Band DLC

Harmonix has released the Roadrunner 6 Pack for Rock Band's weekly downloadable content. This pack contains a variety of hardcore metal tracks that will make your face melt just playing 'em. Here's the content list:

RoadRunner 6 Pack - $5.99 (480 Microsoft points) for the pack, $0.99 (80 Microsoft points) each
