Assuming MGS4 is your first Metal Gear game, some of you late-comers are completely confused about the Metal Gear Solid storyline. As a result, Sony and Konami are launching the Metal Gear Solid 4 database via PLAYSTATION Store tonight! It is a FREE downloadable application that has anything and everything about the Metal Gear franchise; including character profiles, storylines, and even a spoiler guard that will only be unlocked after you've completed MGS4. When Konami released the debut trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in E3 2006, gamers and MGS fans were amazed. The game looked awesome! Two years later, just days before the release, we take a look at the final trailer. Sure it's got some of the scenes from the first trailer in 2006, but if you look closely the graphics have been entirely revamped and upgraded!

By the way, the final 2008 trailer is all in-game engine. Every single scene is generated from the raw power of the PlayStation 3 cell processor! No CGI, bitches.

Gadget Madness was lucky enough to receive the official Metal Gear Solid 4 Bluetooth Headset for an early review. Unfortunately, the review states that the audio quality is very poor - like having a "sock in your mouth". The review includes an audio comparison and an overview of the peripheral.

Playable Metal Gear Solid flashbacks in MGS4!

According to the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will feature playable "memories" of Old Snake. This will fill gamers in on the backstory of the Metal Gear Solid franchise and ultimately help those who are playing Metal Gear Solid for the first time.

ANOTHER Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Bundle only for Japan [DAMMIT!]...

Sony Japan has just announced yet another PS3 bundle called the Metal Gear Solid 4 Welcome Box. It will include a 40GB PlayStation 3 console, one SIXAXIS controller, a "vanilla" copy of the MGS4 game AND a DualShock 3. On top of that, the bundle will be available in all three Japanese colors: black, white, and silver. So technically, Japan will be getting three versions of this bundle in addition to the other two MGS4 80GB PS3 bundles - which makes a whopping FIVE bundles. WTF. Anyway, the Metal Gear Solid 4 Welcome Box will release day-in-date with the game on June 12 and will retail for ¥49,800 ($475).
