Metal Gear Solid 3DS Trailer (ALMOST 8 MINUTES!)

Fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise rejoice! Originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has been ported over and given the 3D upgrade on the upcoming Nintendo 3DS! Metal Gear Solid 3DS will be set for a release in Q2 of 2011. For now, check out this 8 minute trailer!

MGS on LittleBigPlanet

Hey folks, I'm finally back after a crazy semester..

Anyway, the official PlayStation Blog has revealed that the next DLC for LittleBigPlanet are a new Costume Pack of 4 new sackboys ([Old] Snake, Meryl, Raiden & Psycho Mantis) from the Metal Gear Solid universe and an exclusive Level Pack that consists of the following:

• 3 new background music tracks
• 1 new interactive music track
• 1 new Metal Gear Solid themed ‘sound object’
• New Plasma Ball ‘danger element’
• New Laser Sight ‘gadget’
• New functioning Searchlight lamp – for those special ‘exclamation mark’ moments

…and finally, the piece de resistance…THE PAINTINATOR (and Paint Switch).

Metal Gear Solid 4 Interactive Database Releases Tonight!

Assuming MGS4 is your first Metal Gear game, some of you late-comers are completely confused about the Metal Gear Solid storyline. As a result, Sony and Konami are launching the Metal Gear Solid 4 database via PLAYSTATION Store tonight! It is a FREE downloadable application that has anything and everything about the Metal Gear franchise; including character profiles, storylines, and even a spoiler guard that will only be unlocked after you've completed MGS4. Possibly Real: Metal Gear Solid to be released on PLAYSTATION Store

According to PlayStation Beyond, Konami is planning to announce the release of the original Metal Gear Solid on the PLAYSTATION Store sometime next month. In addition, the site claims that Konami will release the first software update for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, allowing crossmediabar (XMB) integration and trophy support.

As always in any Possibly Real segment in ACG, this is still a rumor. There is no official confirmation from Kojima or Konami, so keep your finger crossed...
