Rumor Smash: No plans for Yoda vs. Vader in Soul Calibur IV

There's been various videos and photos of the PS3-exclusive Darth Vader and 360-exclusive Yoda battling together around the internets. Rumor has said that these matches are possible via downloadable content. Over at MSXbox World, Soul Calibur IV director Katsutoshi Sasaki has denied any possiblity whatsoever:

Will there ever be a time when we can have Darth Vader and Yoda on the same console or will one character always be exclusive to one type of console?

We don’t have any plans for that.

PS3 Soul Calbur IV lacks features

No rumble support for the DualShock 3
According to TalkPlaystation, an email was sent to the site from a member stating that he received the game early (breaking the street date release) and had looked in every possible menu in the game, but no rumble option could be found for the DualShock 3. An update was released yesterday, but it did not add rumble functionality.

No trophy support or custom in-game music
TalkPlayStation has also claimed that the PlayStation3 version of Soul Calibur IV doesn't support the PlayStation 3's new trophy system. Instead, the game has it's own achievement system dubber "Honor". When the player unlocks something, an in-game pop up will notify the player that he/she has unlocked something. In addition, TalkPlaystation has also stated that there is no support for custom in-game music (that means you can't play your Lil Wayne remix of the Star Wars theme while playing as Darth Vader).

Possibly Real: Kratos in PS3 version of Soul Calibur IV

In the August issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly and at 1UP.com, rumor-monger Quartermann has stated that a new exclusive character maybe coming to the PlayStation 3 version of Soul Calibur IV! In addition to Darth Vader, Quartermann has announced that Kratos, star of the critically-acclaimed God of War series will be slashing his way onto Soul Calibur IV...

Being a huge God of War fan, I just might pre-order Soul Calibur IV.

Secret Apprentice Joins Soul Calibur IV Cast

Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Starkiller, from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, will be appearing as a character in Soul Calibur IV! Luckily, Starkiller will be available in both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

Soul Calibur IV Limited Edition Unveiled!

According to GameStop, The Soul Calibur IV Limited Edition includes an art book, tournament bracket card, a metal tin case, an exclusive t-shirt, and [of course] the game. The t-shirt you get will depend on the version you purchase. For the 360 version, you will receive a white tee featuring Yoda and Siegfried. For the PS3 version, you will receive a black tee featuring Darth Vader and Mitsurugi. Both tees will only be available in XL. The Soul Calibur Limited Edition (Xbox 360/PS3) will be released on July 29, 2008 and will retail for $79.99.
