While American gamers can grab Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection for MSRP $29.99, Japanese gamers will be able to download the original Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation from the Japanese PlayStation Network Store and play it on their PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable.

Japan always gets the better deals. I would love to take Metal Gear Solid anywhere I go! It should be available for download sometime this Spring. This photo is the actual scan from Japanese mag, Famitsu.
